North-Chiang Mai University of Thailand Pays a Visit to SDAEU

On the afternoon of May 5th, Chutima Chavasint, executive vice president of North-Chiang Mai University, Thailand, visitedour school. Vice President Zhang Zhaoming warmly received the delegation, and the responsible directors of the Personnel Department, the Academic Affairs Office, the School of International Exchange and Cooperation, and the School of Economics Management attended themeeting. The meeting was hosted by Tang Xin, Director of the School of International Exchange and Cooperation.

At the meeting, Zhang Zhaoming first extended a warm welcome to Vice President Chutima Chavasint and her delegation. He briefly introduced the school's characteristics,talentstraining, basic conditions of foreign cooperation and development strategy, and said that the visit of North-Chiang Mai Universityis of great significance for our school to deepen understanding and establish a deeper friendly and cooperative relationship with Thai universities. He hoped that the two sides could develop ideas, conduct in-depth discussions and exchanges, and explore innovative, substantive and win-win cooperation models in terms of teachers andstudents exchanges and scientific research cooperation. Vice President Chavasint Chutima gave a brief introduction to the history and school philosophy of the North-Chiang Mai University.She said that the establishment of the North-Chiang Mai University aims to serve the society and create a safe environment for students to learn and grow. She believes that the two universities have common development goals in international education, and themajors have a higher degree of fit. The majors of our school include Facility Agriculture Scienceand Engineering, Surveyingand Mapping Engineering, Agriculture and Forestry Economic Management, etc.are also the ones she hopes to cooperate with. She hopes to take this opportunity to visit and actively promote the establishment of a stable and pragmatic exchange and cooperation relationship between the two universities.

At the meeting, the responsible persons of each department introduced the basic situation of the department and the internationalization ideas, and conducted in-depth and detailed discussions on the matters they were responsible for. The exchanges between the two sides were specific and pragmatic. Afterdiscussion,many consensuses have been reached on jointly trained masters,teachers and students exchanges,and scientific research cooperation ofthe two sides. Both parties indicated that they will continue to work hard to promote the projects as soon as possible, and use this as an opportunity to build a broader platform for cooperation and exchange between the two universities and build a bridge of friendship between China and Thailand.

It is reported that North-Chiang Mai Universityof Thailand was founded in 1999 and currently has 6 colleges, more than 20 majors, 10 master's programs and one doctoral program, more than 3,000students, more than 300 faculty and staff, and is an international university with small scale but fine quality. In addition to local students in Thailand, there are international students from the United States, Canada, Japan, Finland, Sweden, the Netherlands, China, South Korea and India.
