On the morning of July 7, a six-member delegation led by Professor Sereda Alexey Valerievich, Vice Rector of the State University of Land Use Planning, visited Shandong Agriculture and Engineering University (SDAEU). Zhou Jipeng, Member of the University Party Committee and Vice President of SDAEU, met with the delegation and attended the symposium. Representatives from the International Affairs Office and the School of International Education also participated in the event.

On behalf of the University, Zhou Jipeng extended a warm welcome to the delegation and introduced SDAEU’s distinctive strengths and disciplinary advantages in such fields as land management, surveying and mapping engineering, and agricultural engineering. He expressed the hope that this visit would serve as a valuable opportunity to promote practical cooperation between the two universities in these areas, leveraging complementary strengths for mutual benefit and shared development.

Vice Rector Sereda expressed his appreciation for the University’s warm reception and provided a detailed overview of the State University of Land Use Planning, including its history, academic structure, and international cooperation strategy. He noted that the State University of Land Use Planning is the oldest and largest specialized higher education institution in the Russian Federation dedicated to land management and land-use planning, and that its academic programs are highly compatible with those of SDAEU, offering broad prospects for cooperation. He expressed the hope that the meeting would serve as the starting point for deeper cooperation and coordinated development between the two universities.

During the symposium, the two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on a wide range of topics, including student exchanges, joint talent cultivation, and international research cooperation. The discussions were cordial and productive, with both sides reaching a number of preliminary agreements on future collaboration.

Following the symposium, Zhou Jipeng and Vice Rector Sereda signed a Memorandum of Cooperation on behalf of their respective institutions, officially establishing an inter-university partnership.
