On the afternoon of June 2, the Basic Course Teaching Department organized a Light Volleyball Friendship Match for Chinese and international faculty members and students under the theme “United Through Light Volleyball.”The University Team competed against the International Student Team from the School of International Education.

Throughout the match, both teams traded points as the lead changed hands repeatedly, with smooth transitions between offense and defense. Solid digs, accurate sets, powerful spikes, and well-executed blocks produced one exciting rally after another, drawing enthusiastic applause from the audience. The match was played in a warm and friendly atmosphere, as both teams upheld the spirit of “Friendship First, Competition Second,”demonstrating both competitive excellence and exemplary sportsmanship. More than a sporting event, the match served as a vivid lesson in the University’s educational philosophy of fostering students through sports. During the competition, participants strengthened their teamwork through collaboration, developed resilience through friendly rivalry, and deepened mutual understanding through meaningful interaction. Members of the University team remarked, “Competing alongside international students has given us a deeper appreciation for respect and inclusiveness.”International student athletes also shared their feelings, saying, “Sports have helped us overcome language barriers and become friends who stand side by side on the court.”
